ChineseIsFun was made to take you from knowing nothing about Chinese to fluency efficiently, while being a fun experience along the way. It is designed to help you not forget the words that you have already learned, give you customized reading/speaking practice, and teach you grammar.

I created ChineseIsFun because I saw how my Dad was trying to self-learn Chinese and thought there must be a better way. I also tried to self-learn by memorizing 1,000 characters during the pandemic, but quickly forgot most of them. Chinese is supposedly the most difficult language for English speakers to learn (taking 2,200 hours instead of Spanish's 750 hours according to the U.S. Foreign Service Institute), but I hope ChineseIsFun makes learning Chinese more fun, easy, and rewarding for you.
